Or passwords, as it should be. Everywhere you go to should have it's own unique password. That way if that site or machine is compromised, they can't just simply plug your password in elsewhere. This formula for making Passwords is one that I've adapted from others. There's nothing new here, just a good method to make a fairly strong Password for everywhere you go. Of course you can adapt it to your needs and you should.

My Method:

Pick three (random) words, translate into other languages, add l33t alphabet.

"forbidden beer breakfast"

forbidden in German is verboten, add some l33t and you get v3rb0t3n

beer in Spanish is cerveza, add some l33t and you get c3rv3c4

breakfast in Italian is colazione, l33t it and you get c0l4z10n3

Now separate by characters you get from hitting shift and any key with a number(!@#$%^&*)

  c3rv4c4#v3rb0t3n*c0l4z10n3

*as a note, not all web sites let you use these special keys. You could omit them, replace with an "x" or anything else.

OK, so to personalize the password to a site or a particular computer we will be adding a capital letter. For a website we add the first letter (G for gmail, A for amazon, etc.)

For a machine we will add the first letter of the location of the pc or whatever you call it.

You can add this wherever you like. We will add an "F" for facebook at the end.

c3rv4c4#v3rb0t3n*c0l4z10n3F

It looks harder to remember than it is. Just learn the vowels in l33t, like above. I'm sure you don't need 3 words. Here's what this would look like shortened if you don't need it that secure:

Going thru seeds today and getting my sow on soon. A little bed rotation; I’ll be using the beds right next to the house for herbs this year and the old herb bed for tomatoes, peppers in the tomato bed from 2 years ago. I think a big overflowing herb garden right near the walkways will smell nice and look nice, plus be readily accessible to the kitchen. Sunflowers back in the NW-SE stockade fence line. The shaded NE-SW fence in the side yard has been tilled, but I’m not sure what I can put in there because of the almost total lack of Sun. Perhaps, some cemetery roses or berries found in the shade? I might try my hand at some cuttings this year. Then there’s the back fence line, thats been tilled and waiting. Corn? Maybe some pumpkins? Beans? They need to go in now I think.

I had found a bunch of pots in the garbage that I’m going to fill and just place around the walkways and pool/pond. Speaking of the pond, it’s another area that will get some plants. I have some ivy growing on one of the fences, I was thinking of transplanting some of that closer to the pond, hanging over the edge. Some lillys will also go in and whatever else I can put in to make some habitat for the koi and other goldfish.

I made a screen to classify the compost, since I didn’t shred the leaves I’m sure it’ll be chunky. It’ll be the first time I get to use some and I’m excited about it. Plus, reworking the compost bin into 2 sections to make it more efficient, so I can work less and get more goodness. There’s a cement pad right there too that a shed would look nice on. With an attached potters bench and the roof rain water going into a rain barrel.

Yes, I’m excited to get started this year. Last year my starts all stopped, haha, and all I had was the oregano that came back up. Oh, and the mint, of course came up. Well, I’m off to dig out the seeds and play God.

[Review] Blue Water Tavern

Blue Water Tavern

12087 Perry Hwy
Wexford, PA 15090

Zero Stars

It was a Thursday afternoon around 2 and I was on my way to Smokey Bones in Cranberry. I caught the Blue Water Tavern sign out of the corner of my eye and decided to give it a try. My visions of a tavern lunch were soon quashed as I walked in and there was absolutely nothing "Tavern" about it. "Grille", perhaps. Tavern? Hardly.(-1)

There was a couple good beers and I had a Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA, which I had to ask for a glass for. Bartenders need to start paying attention to their craft, bottled beer should always come with a glass(-1). There seemed to be plenty of wines, tho, another mark towards the Grille moniker opposed to Tavern. The menu had no real standouts or appetizers, well I think they were camouflaged as "Tapas".. But, at $10 each I really didn't want a $20 lunch. I ended up going with the Buffalo Chicken sandwich and "Fresh, Handcut" fries. After I ordered, I sat and checked in on FourSquare and yelp on my phone and started reading the reviews. For a second I thought about just paying for the beer and leaving, the reviews were making me think I had made a mistake. This made me dread my decision staying(-1 negative publicity).

My meal came promptly and I got a good laugh at the 9, yes nine, French Fries in all their Fresh glory. The sandwich was a good size and for as cheap as potatoes are, they really wasted a chance to fill out the plate a little for next to nothing and send the customer home full for less than 18 cents.(-1) It was a heavy hand that dealt the seasoned salt onto the fried potato, but they did taste good. The Buffalo Chicken sandwich tasted good,(+1) but the roll was fresh and soft and the sauce soaked in and made it soggy. If the bun was toasted, it would have been perfect.(-1) I feel sandwiches that are "hot" should come with toasted bread, anyways.

I laid a 20 up and the bartender gave me back 3 dollars and change. And I thought, wait, a sandwich, 9 fries and a beer. 6 dollars for the Dogfish Head. Now I know its not Bud or Miller Lite, but I drink it all the time and it's usually between 4 and 5 bucks. There is nothing there that makes this beer worth 6 dollars, that I had to beg for a glass for.(-1)

I left a faux tavern hungry and disappointed, o wait, I knew it was going to be bad..I would give them No Stars and suggest eating at Sheetz across the street.

about.me Web Presence

In holding with my long standing practice of owning "amishjim" at every website, here is:

When I was but a wee child there was a great new invention called MTV, that really changed Television. It was one of the first big specialty stations on cable. One of the VJ's was Adam Curry, you just wanted to kill him with his big gel'd up hair and the shiny jackets, ugh. Somehow he ended up with John C. Dvorak, a cranky, old tech writer and wine connoisseur, I first saw him on ZDTV & Tech TV. These guys have nurtured me in differant ways throughout life. They both work for Mevio now, started these conversations amongst themselves and decided to share them with us. Funny, they should end up together in a conspiracy theory podcast named No Agenda. Curry is known as "The Podfather" and after hearing Leo Laporte refer to him fairly often, I decided to give him a listen. He was doing The Daily Source Code and I really liked listening to it and stumbled upon the No Agenda Show he was doing with Dvorak, in the morning.

I haven't listened to all of them, but most. Pretty much it's their twist on the News , seemingly, in no particular order. They both have pet peeves which are recurring and sometimes quite funny, when you're in the know. I laugh out loud each show and I need that. There's fun little jingles that I end up singing all day, such as: "In The Morning!" or "It's the Swine Flu Minute!". It's nice to get different perspectives on the world front. Main Stream Media blows, and we all know it. Not that these guys nail it every time, it's the way that the information is given to us. They purport to have "No Agenda", but each show is pretty similar to the last, so . . . . So, I love it. I listen to every one, Thursday and Sunday.

My only beef with the show is how the collect revenue, instead of commercials, they beg. If you donate, you get a credit in the show notes and are permitted to put it on your resume. I'm going to donate, just for that fact. I think it'd be funny. Oh, and sometimes the show isn't real transparent, mistakes are made on air and they just keep going. It is a podcast after all.

Give them a listen, you might like them, too. Or not.

Listen to No Agenda Now
